Naples seminar 6.2.2025

As part of the Mapping Inequalities project seminar series will take place the presentation of the latest book edited by Professor Thomas Maloutas, member of the project board of experts.

The book that is titled “37 Stories from the Athenian Apartment Blocks” and includes contributions by 26 writers that explores the multifaceted history of the Athenian apartment blocks (polykatoikías) and their impact on the city’s urban fabric and life. Through narrations, recollections, personal experiences, and photographs, the new edition of Onassis Publications captures the stories of people and buildings while mapping the changes taking place in Athenian society.

The event will take place on the 6th February 2025 at the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples Federico II, and will be chaired by Prof. Giovanni Laino (Naples Research Unit Coordinator).
